Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills responded to a report of a fight outside the Chase Bank building downtown just before midnight Wednesday, April 24.
The person reporting the incident said a woman involved in the incident possibly struck a male subject with her vehicle. Both subjects left the scene, according to the witness.
Deputies located the male subject’s vehicle and stopped. He told deputies the he had been robbed after using the ATM. He said his money had been stolen, he was beaten up by two people and pepper sprayed.
The man provided a description of the suspect vehicle that was broadcast to neighboring and a car matching the description was stopped by Scottsdale Police soon after.
Detectives interviewed the suspects stopped by Scottsdale PD and determined this was not a random robbery incident.
It is alleged that the male subject agreed to meet two female escorts at the bank where he was to pay them for their time. The two accounts of the incident have the two women attempting to rob the man who they met on a dating site, or the man refused to pay and was allegedly the aggressor with the women defending themselves when he attacked them.
Neither party will aid in prosecution.
