The driver and a minor child were taken to hospitals Friday, Nov. 14, morning after a single-vehicle accident on Palisades Boulevard just north of El Lago Boulevard.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on Palisades when it crossed the median and southbound lanes into the desert on the west side of Palisades. The vehicle traveled about 100 feet from the roadway before coming to a stop.

According to Fire Chief Randy Roberts, injuries to the woman driving the vehicle were serious enough that she was transported to a trauma center for treatment.

The driver and a minor child were taken to hospitals Friday, Nov. 14, morning after a single-vehicle accident on Palisades Boulevard just north of El Lago Boulevard.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on Palisades when it crossed the median and southbound lanes into the desert on the west side of Palisades. The vehicle traveled about 100 feet from the roadway before coming to a stop.

According to Fire Chief Randy Roberts, injuries to the woman driving the vehicle were serious enough that she was transported to a trauma center for treatment.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, passers-by removed a two-year-old boy from the vehicle and he was taken to a Valley hospital for evaluation of possible minor injuries.

MCSO is investigating the accident as possibly alcohol related. There were signs indicating this at the scene and deputies will await DPS lab testing before considering charges.

*On Monday, Nov. 10, a Fountain Hills man was cited for excessive speed on Fountain Hills Boulevard. Deputies say the man was driving 54 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35.

*On Monday, Nov. 10, deputies were called to the 13000 block of Hampton Drive for a report of suspicious men trying to open a garage door at a neighbor’s residence. While deputies were investigating the report a resident of a nearby home returned and reported some items appeared to be missing including computers, televisions and jewelry. However, the resident appeared to be in a hurry to get to work and was not cooperative with deputies at that time.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 11 deputies responded to a report of two men fighting in the 16000 block of Alamosa Ave. The report indicated the two were yelling at one another and possibly threatening with a gun. Deputies cited the two for disorderly conduct. It appears there were no weapons involved.

*On Thursday, Nov. 6, deputies investigated a vehicle accident at Shea and Palisades boulevards. A vehicle making a left turn from eastbound Shea to northbound Palisades was struck by a westbound vehicle on Shea. The driver was apparently making the left against the traffic light.

*On Saturday, Nov. 8, a Fort McDowell man was arrested for extreme DUI following a traffic stop a Shea and Saguaro boulevards.

*On Saturday, Nov. 1, a Fountain Hills man was arrested after a resident in the 14000 block of Ibsen Drive reported the suspect would not leave the residence when he was asked. Deputies forwarded a complaint against the man for trespassing domestic violence and assault domestic violence.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 11, a Fountain Hills woman reported finding that someone had cut a tie-down rope on a cover over a car in the back yard of her residence.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 12, deputies responded to the 15000 block of Scorpion Drive after a vehicle rolled down a hill from one residence and struck the back of a neighbor’s house.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 12, deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision at Palisades and El Lago boulevards. A driver traveling west on El Lago stopped for the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Palisades. The driver making the left turn was cited for failure to yield.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 12, two vehicles collided at Palisades Blvd. and Westby Drive. A motorist traveling west on Palisades was making a left turn onto Westby and was struck by an eastbound vehicle as he made the turn.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 12 a Fountain Hills woman reported her vehicle stolen. She believes her sister and her sister’s boyfriend had taken the vehicle. The incident is being followed up by detectives.

*On Thursday, Nov. 6, a Fountain Hills man was cited for excessive speed on Palisades Boulevard at Vista Drive. He was traveling 72 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45.

*On Thursday, Nov. 13, a Fountain Hills woman reported seeing a man looking under vehicles in the area of Montrose Drive and Fountain Hills Boulevard.

*On Friday, Nov. 14, a resident of Fairfax Drive reported that sometime overnight someone drove through two yards causing damage to a mailbox and landscaping. The vehicle was located in the neighborhood and the driver admitted the accident and was cited.

*On Friday, Nov. 14, deputies investigated an accident where a vehicle struck a wall at the Fry’s store on Shea Boulevard. The driver reported the accelerator stuck and he lost control. Neither the driver nor passengers were injured.

*On Saturday, Nov. 15, deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision at Palisades and El Lago Boulevards. A driver traveling west on El Lago stopped for the stop sign and proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Palisades. The driver told deputies she thought there was an all-way stop at the intersection. She was cited for failure to yield.

*On Sunday, Nov. 16, a woman was arrested for domestic violence assault after getting into a fight with her boyfriend at a residence in the 29000 block of N. 145th Place in Maricopa County.

*On Sunday, Nov. 16, deputies received a theft report from a business in the 17000 block of Colony Drive. It was reported that someone had removed items from along the sidewalk in front of the business including lawn furniture.
