Loop 101 closure this weekend

Improvement projects will require closures or other restrictions along Phoenix-area freeways this weekend. The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends drivers allow extra travel time, use caution and consider alternate routes while the following scheduled restrictions are in place:

Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed between 90th Street and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday (Sept. 17) for widening project work, including installation of bridge deck joints. Northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Indian Bend Road and Via De Ventura also closed. Expect heavy traffic and delays.

DETOUR: Please consider alternate freeway routes, including westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to northbound State Route 51, or northbound Interstate 17, to connect with Loop 101. Northbound Loop 101 traffic exiting at 90th Street will detour north to Shea Boulevard to reconnect with Loop 101, but expect delays.
