I would like to extend a quick thanks to several churches and friends.
On Saturday, July 11, we had what we have been told was the largest funeral ever held here in Fountain Hills. You can imagine the logistics involved.
Thanks Roger and Pam Bates and the many, many volunteers who helped set up, clean up, prepare food, serve food and drinks, run sound systems and video, etc.

Thanks also to our friends at First Baptist Church, the Fountain Hills Christian Center, Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church, the Church of the Ascension, the Fountain Hills Mormon Church, Water & Ice, We-Ko-Pa and Fort McDowell for your assistance, donations, loans of tables, chairs, ice chests, etc. (please forgive me if I have forgotten anyone).
It is a true blessing to see an entire community rally around a family in this tragic situation.
Also, I am very proud of Pastor Randy Short who did an incredible job at Michael’s service. Please continue to love, support and pray for Dave, Mari, Jake and Joey DeGroote. Thanks!
