She replaces outgoing chair Rosaria Cain, Knoodle owner.
Joining Torkelson will be vice chair, Bill Hinz, CopperWynd owner; secretary, Audrie Ouellette, Little Caesars franchise owner, and treasurer, Christine Colley, Fountain Events, Inc.
New board members are Kim Widner, CPA (owner); Scott Schlossberg, Farmers Insurance, and Scott Commer, ProSkill.
