New owners take over Tap House

Over the course of previous owners, The Tap House Bar & Grill earned the reputation of serving the best hamburger in town.

If possible, the hamburgers have improved with the introduction of red and green chilies from New Mexico, said new owner, Milton Gabaldon.

“They will be better than ever,” said Gabaldon. He and his partner, Gabriella Torok, are focusing on operating a family-friendly restaurant with a bar at 16828 E. Parkview Ave.

Gabaldon said he has been involved in the restaurant business “in and out for 35 years,” lastly owning a restaurant for the past couple of years in Payson.

Hungarian specialties prepared by Torok are served Thursdays. Typical dishes are chicken paprikash and stuffed cabbage rolls.

Friday nights feature fish fries and slow-roasted prime rib is Saturday’s special.

Gabaldon preferred not to list the price of his menu selections, saying “what we offer is worth paying for.”

The restaurant opens at 7 a.m., Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for breakfast. All other days, 11 a.m. is opening time. Live music is provided Friday and Saturday evenings. Gabaldon said he is exploring karaoke nights.

The phone number is 480-837-4884.
