I want everyone to know how pleased I am that Mayor Linda Kavanagh has decided to run for reelection and that I can vote for her again. I also urge everyone to fill in the space next to her name as a show of support, even though nobody else is on the ballot running against her.

Linda is one of Fountain Hills’ most community-minded residents, as witnessed by all the awards she has won, such as Parks and Recreation Department Outstanding Volunteer of the Year, Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce Business Advocate of the Year, River of Time Museum Hero Award and more.

Linda is also very accessible, a rare and desirable trait in an elected official. I always see Linda at town events, club meetings, charity fundraisers, ribbon cuttings and just talking to the people on the street or in the supermarkets. Linda is one of us.

Linda cares about Fountain Hills and its residents and she gives of herself in many ways, like by creating the “Docent-guided Art Walk,” painting disabled peoples’ homes on “Make A Difference Day,” helping out at charity fundraisers or volunteering to help make Fountain Hills a better place for kids and seniors.

Linda also excels in her government endeavors. Not only is she our mayor, and a busy one at that, but other mayors and elected officials have elevated her to positions of influence in the Maricopa Association of Governments (Economic Development Committee Member) and the AZ League of Cities and Towns (Executive Committee Member). In these capacities she influences county and state policies to the benefit of our town.

Mayor Linda Kavanagh and Fountain Hills – perfect together!
