Big, ugly signs directing people to a website with big, ugly lies and innuendos about town councilman and mayoral candidate Cecil Yates have popped up all over Fountain Hills, spoiling our scenic landscape and soiling the truth.

And how appropriate that these signs were paid for by Mike Archambault, who holds the distinction of being the only town councilman in Fountain Hills history to be censured for bad behavior in office. Fittingly, Archambault then engaged in a big, ugly temper-tantrum outside of Town Hall. As a council meeting ended, Archambault screamed obscenities and poked his finger at the town manager, all of this in front of a group of children.

I fled Chicago 19 years ago to escape this type of ugly politics that evades the issues in favor of levying vicious and distorted attacks against opponents. Thank you, Mike Archambault, for bringing that bile to Fountain Hills.

Last time Archambault ran for town council, the voters wisely rejected him. I hope they will do the same to his vile website.
