Spooner Fountain Hills has announced the addition of physical therapists, Jaclyn Levasseur and Brock Rathman.

Jaclyn Levasseur spent most of her life in Texas but coming from an Air Force family, she has lived in numerous locations. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ballet with a minor in movement science at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. At that time, Levasseur decided to retire from dancing after 20 years and focus on a path that could provide her the opportunity to help injured dancers.

Levasseur spent a year teaching dance and working as a physical therapy technician. She then studied physical therapy in Dallas at the University of Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) where she focused on growing as a physical therapist.

Earlier this year, Levasseur received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at USAHS and moved to Arizona to begin her new career. Levasseur said she enjoys the warm weather and the beautiful scenery that Arizona has to offer.

Levasseur is excited to be part of the Spooner team and plans to continue to grow and develop her craft while offering a unique skill set and positive attitude to all her patients and team members, a press release said.

Levasseur’s areas of interest are general orthopedics, post-operative care, manual therapy and dance rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Outside the clinic, Levasseur enjoys traveling and exploring new places. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates, hiking, skiing, paddle boarding and shopping. Spending time with friends and family is most important to her, the release said.

Brock Rathman also recently joined the Spooner Fountain Hills team. He o was born and reared in Lincoln, Neb. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Hastings College in Nebraska and attended PT school in Omaha at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

During his time at Hastings College, Rathman was a high school pitching coach for two years. At UNMC, Rathman completed clinical education in orthopedics, clinical access hospital care, inpatient rehabilitation and acute care rehabilitation and obtained his DPT degree.

Rathman developed a passion for physical therapy after recovering from multiple shoulder surgeries during his first two years of college as a member of the Hastings College Baseball team. He added he is dedicated to helping individuals return to the activities they enjoy through functional exercise and evidence-based care.

Rathman’s areas of interest are general orthopedics, sports rehabilitation and post-operative rehabilitation. Rathman is also a member of APTA.

Outside of the clinic, Rathman enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, hiking and working out. He enjoys watching Nebrasker Husker football, professional golf and Kansas City Royals baseball, the release said.
