Thrivent Financial samples wines Jan. 24 at office
Posted
Thrivent Financial is hosting a wine sampling Thursday, Jan. 24, and a limited number of openings are still available to the general public.
A wine expert from Wines for Humanity will do the actual sampling.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and will conclude by 7 p.m.
“We have hosted more than a dozen of these samplings in the past 18 months and have found them to be fun and educational at the same time,” said Mike Scharnow, local Thrivent representative. “We invite folks to come and enjoy some wine along with appetizers, fruit and chocolates.
“There are no sales pitches or anything like that from us.”
Wine expert Janet Gangl has a passion for wine and for helping others.
Wines for Humanity raises funds for charities across the country to help in the prevention of homelessness in families with children.
A typical wine sampling involves Gangl meeting with a group of 12 to 18 guests and sharing up to seven bottles of wine with them for the tasting.
Each tasting includes a balance of whites and reds to please most everyone’s palette.
Jerrod Stearnes and Scharnow share a local Thrivent Financial office in the Palisades Business Center.
Those interested in attending the wine sampling need to RSVP at 480-498-6184.
Thrivent Financial is a financial services organization that helps Christians be wise with money and live generously.
