Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 20, through Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Thursday, Feb. 20
*Deputies responded to La Montana Drive and El Lago Boulevard for a reported traffic collision. Deputies said a driver rear ended another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 20, through Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Thursday, Feb. 20
*Deputies responded to La Montana Drive and El Lago Boulevard for a reported traffic collision. Deputies said a driver rear ended another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Sundown Drive for a single vehicle traffic collision. Deputies report that the vehicle left the roadway and struck the mailbox and some landscaping of a residence. No injuries were reported; the vehicle was towed.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard at Trevino Drive. Deputies said the driver was traveling 55 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. A DUI investigation was initiated, and the driver was arrested for DUI and issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. It was reported that an unknown subject stole a utility trailer from the parking lot of a business.
Friday, Feb. 21
*It was reported that an unknown subject made a fraudulent purchase of approximately $14,000 from a business in the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where a domestic violence assault was reported. Deputies report that during the assault the aggressor took the victim’s property and left the area. The suspect was later stopped by Scottsdale Police and the victim’s property recovered. Charges have been submitted to the Fountain Hills Municipal Court for prosecution.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Crystal Ridge Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open an account and purchase a cell phone with a wireless carrier.
Saturday, Feb. 22
*Deputies made a traffic stop on McDowell Mountain Road, Mile Post 1 where a driver was stopped for criminal speed reportedly traveling 74 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard and Palatial Drive. Deputies said the driver was stopped for speed, traveling 71 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. A records check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended, and there was a warrant for their arrest. The driver was issued a criminal citation for the suspended license and arrested on the warrant. The driver was later turned over to Tempe Police.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Parkview Avenue where it was reported that a subject made threats to assault a victim while at a business.
*Deputies received a report that an unknown subject used physical force to steal a vehicle from the victim in a business parking lot in the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd.
*A resident of the 11000 block of Walapai Circle reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open an account with a wireless carrier.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive reported that an unknown subject stole a package from the front entry area of a residence.
Sunday, Feb. 23
*Deputies responded to La Montana Drive and El Lago Boulevard for a reported traffic collision. Deputies said a driver stopped in the roadway to allow a vehicle to parallel park. A second vehicle then rear ended the stopped vehicle. No injuries were reported, one vehicle was towed.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Trevino Drive reported that a delivery driver struck a retaining wall with a vehicle and left the area without reporting the incident. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Escalante Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject painted graffiti on property belonging to a government entity.
*A resident of the 11000 block of Zephyr Drive reported a domestic violence criminal damage incident.
Monday, Feb. 24
*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown vehicle side swiped the victim’s vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of a business. The driver fled the area without exchanging information.
Tuesday, Feb. 25
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject stole the victim’s purse from her shopping cart while inside a business.
Wednesday, Feb. 26
*A resident of the 16000 block of Crystal Point Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open an account with a wireless carrier.
