Now that the holidays are over and the dust has settled, it is time to recognize groups and individuals who have performed exceptional deeds.
The tremendous community and School District support for the annual Salvation Army Adopt an Angel Program had some very special angels and elves who helped create miracles, tears of happiness and smiles on Christmas Day for more than 100 children and their families in Fountain Hills.
These special angels include: Julie Jones and Paul Perreault and the FLAG Group (The Fountain Hills Leads Association Group), Jeanne Ryan, Dee Hahn and Marietta Bell, Julie O’Toole and Bonne Bruchl, the Stewart Johnson families, Capt. Todd Brunin and the Fountain Hills Fire Department, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Washington Federal Savings employees, Kate Pruett and Noon Kiwanis Key Club members, Janet Pageau and the Fountain Hills Elks Lodge No. 2846, Fountain Hills School District employees and their families, Susan Owens and the Presbyterian Church members, The Fountain Hills Woodworkers, 90th Street Home Depot, Fountain Hills Paul’s Ace Hardware, Rockler Woodworking, Mary Derby and the Verdes Community Christmas Project participants and all those special elves who chose angels from the trees at the banks and shopped for them.
On behalf of the Fountain Hills Christmas Angel Program, I thank one and all who worked behind the scenes to make this program the success that it was. Hats off to you for a job well done, you made Christmas very special to many families! Have a healthy, joyous, happy New Year!
