Long before the lights dimmed and the curtain rose at Fountain Hills Theater, performances were staged in school multipurpose rooms, folding chairs were lined up by hand and children sat cross-legged on the floor, drawn into the magic of live performance.
At the center of it all was Val Stasik.
Stasik, who has been involved with the theater for nearly four decades, recently saw that commitment recognized when the facility was named the Val Stasik Performing Arts Center, a milestone that reflects both her leadership and her lasting impact on the arts in Fountain Hills.
