Wellness center treats mind, body and spirit

A typical A Place to Heal client is “a patient who is sick and tired of being sick and tired,” said naturopathic physician Dr. Jamil Sategh.

Explaining the new clinic in The Forum Building, 16626 E. Avenue of the Fountains, suite 201, Sategh said, “We look at this as a holistic center to fix you.”

“It’s all about taking somebody and saying you might have diabetes and high blood pressure but what else is going on? How can we really help you in a holistic fashion? Whatever the problem is, it goes deeper,” he said.

Sategh is one of the clinic’s naturopathic physicians who assist patients in taking control of their health through restoring their mind, body and spirit.

The clinic provides an array of treatments that include nutritional counseling, medical massage, IV and injection therapies, acupuncture, system cell derivative therapy, hormone imbalance and micro circulation renewal.

Private and group nutrition and movement classes will be scheduled.

A Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for 5 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 25.

A grand opening reception featuring live music, appetizers and wine, presentations, tour and raffle will take place from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27. RSVPs are necessary for the Saturday reception. Email info@aplacetohealaz.com or text 480-749-7109 with the number of guests attending.

Bonnie Adams is the clinic director as well as a medical massage therapist and Reiki energy healing therapist.

Dr. Iasha White specializes in IV therapy, pain management, acupuncture and nutrition.

Another naturopathic physician, Dr. Stephanie Werner, who focuses on preventative medicine through proper diet and lifestyle choices, plans to join the team in the near future.

George Leger started the business after being diagnosed with cancer, refusing traditional medicine and only receiving naturopathic treatments in Canada. He has been a cancer survivor since 2012.

He posted on the business website the motivation for creating the business.

“The point of my sharing this personal journey is that I want the world to know and understand that everything is possible if you believe you can heal from cancer using naturopathic and alternative treatments, diet change, organic holistic nutrition and a wholesale change in mental attitude,” Leger posted on the business website. “As a result of my recovery, I have decided to spend the rest of my life helping people help themselves...A Place to Heal is not a cancer clinic. It is a place where we will give you tools to heal yourself through nutrition counseling.”

Individuals can visit without a physician’s referral. Health insurance is not accepted; treatments are on a self-pay basis.

To schedule an appointment, call 480-219-7133 or visit info@APlaceToHealAz.com.
