Where to vote in Fountain Hills

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 30, is primary election day for Arizona residents, and the following sites within the Town of Fountain Hills will be open for voters to cast their ballots both today, Monday, July 29 and tomorrow, Tuesday, July 30.

The Vote Centers in Fountain Hills for this election include the Fountain Hills Community Center open to cast ballots Monday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Election Day, Tuesday, July 30, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Fountains United Methodist Church, 15300 Fountain Hills Blvd. is open Monday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Election Day, Tuesday, July 30, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Cornerstone Family Church, 10215 Saguaro Blvd. will be open for voting Monday, July 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Election Day, July 30, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The drop box at Fountain Hills Town Hall will be available during regular building hours Monday, July 29, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Election Day, July 30, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

At Fort McDowell, the voting site at the Fort McDowell Recreation Center, 16402 N. Fort McDowell Road, will be open on Election Day only, July 30 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In the Verde Communities, the voting site is at the Rio Verde Community Center, 18816 E. Four Peaks Blvd., and it will be open Monday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Election Day, July 30, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All voting sites have a drop box for ballots to be dropped off during the hours the site is open.

Residents can check the status of their registration, and other election information including ballot tracking by visiting beballotready.vote.

Voters may also drop off a mail ballot or cast their ballot at any ballot center location in Maricopa County during the election period. The locations are listed at elections.maricopa.gov/voting.

In Fountain Hills there is an election for mayor and Town Council members for terms that will begin in December 2024.

Incumbent Mayor Ginny Dickey is seeking a fourth two-year term in office and is being challenged by Councilman Gerry Friedel whose council term expires at the end of the year, and former Maricopa County Sheriff and local businessman Joe Arpaio.

Three seats on the council have terms that expire. Only Councilwoman Peggy McMahon is seeking reelection. The other candidates include Clayton Corey, Mathew Corrigan, Gayle Earle, Henry Male, former councilman Art Tolis, Robert Wallace and Rick Watts.

Councilwoman Sharron Grzybowski is not seeking reelection.
