Aging in place series this month

At Fountain Hills Community Center

“Storm Clouds on the Horizon,” a two-part program, is being offered at the Fountain Hills Community Center.

The first program, “Weathering the Storm Safely at Home,” will be held Monday, Oct. 23, at 10 a.m. and outlines strategies to help someone safely stay in their home for as long as possible.

The second program, “Preparing a Safe Home Environment,” will be held Monday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. and offers specific and practical steps to take and the various resources available to families.

Scott M. Fischer from Senior Resource Connectors is the presenter for both sessions. Fischer earned a BS in nursing from Arizona State University. He has a variety of healthcare and business experience and since 2000,  his sole focus has been on the care and service of seniors.

The Fountain Hills Community Center is located at 13001 N. La Montana Dr. Fountain Hills, 85268. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Free for Community Center members with a $5 per session for non-members. Call the Community Center at 480-816-5200 to register.
