Annette Frances Melton

Annette Frances Melton: May 20, 1935 – Dec. 3, 2023. A resident of Fountain Hills for over 40 years, Annette was born and raised in Queens, N.Y. and attended Queens College, where she met her husband, Rick. She was born to the late Henry and Anna Herrmann and was the beloved wife of Rick Melton for more than 58 years. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Herrmann, her husband Rick, her oldest daughter, Celeste Cochran, and granddaughter, McKenzie Melton. Annette loved Fountain Hills and all it offered its residents. She began her real estate career at MCO Realty, and for over 15 years she was a lay minister for the Catholic Church of the Ascension. Annette was the Matriarch of three generations. She will forever be remembered by her beloved children, Lisa Hoppe, Guy Melton, Lori Wade and Wayne Melton; treasured grandchildren, Sarah and Tracy Cochran, Joelle Smyth, Emily Chelpka, Ben and Jacob Hoppe, Madison Bennett, Cassie, Hailey, and Austin Wade, as well as Cole and Cody Melton; seven-great grandchildren (with one on the way!); along with countless other friends and family who were blessed to know her. Annette loved listening to music, enjoyed a good Western and loved having fun with her family. She will be greatly missed. Private services were held for her family. She was interred on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023.
