Bob opens for Nat Bargatze Friday, June 7. He will appear at 8 and again at 10 p.m. That also is Bob's birthday, so he is thinking about bringing cupcakes. Double incentive. Bob says Nate works clean, so he is looking forward to a fun show.

Second up is the June 16 show at 7 p.m. with Mike James and Brian Kohatzu. Bob has worked with both guys and he says they both are "very funny." And to boot -- it's Father's Day. That a great way to treat Dad to something he has never had before, and you don't have shop for ties or some exposable gadget. Tickets for the show are only $10, and since there is only one show that night likely will sell out. Get your tickets early.

The Comedy Spot is located at 7117 E. Third Ave., Scottsdale 85251. Phone is 480-945-4422. Website is www.thecomedyspot.net. Admission is either $12 or $10 depending on the show. There are $2 coupons on the website and they sometimes do Deal Chicken or other coupon sites. You can make reservations on line and prepay or you can call in and then pay at the door. They take cash or credit cards at the door. There is a two item minimum. They don't do dinner but you can order pizza from a place nearby and they will bring it over. My suggestion is to eat in downtown Scottsdale before or after the show. The early show on Friday usually sells out. The late show sells out sometimes. You are best advised to make a reservation. Mention Bob's name when you make your reservation as they like to know the comics are promoting the show. If you have never been to the Comedy Spot, what are you waiting for? It has been in Scottsdale for ten years and is still going strong.
