The Fountain Hills Art League is set to meet Monday, March 4, at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
The featured demonstration artist is Veronique Benoit who will demonstrate neurographics, an artistic technique that includes drawing freeform lines.
“As an integrative psychotherapist, I am always looking for ways besides therapy or counseling to help people feel better and change the world,” says Benoit.
According to a press release, a drastic change in Benoit’s life led to discovering the value and healing aspect of art.
Over the last few years, Benoit developed silversmithing skills and created unique handmade jewelry. She then discovered neurographic art.
“This abstract creative transformational art form stimulates new neural pathways by combining art and psychology,” Benoit said. “Through my personalized cell art, I want to inspire, encourage and improve people’s lives.”
All are invited to attend this event with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting beginning at 6 p.m.
This year also marks the 12th anniversary of the annual Tour d’Artistes Studio Tour and Sale.
The tour takes place on Friday through Sunday, March 1-3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
During this free event, the public can interact with local artists and observe them in the process of creating original artwork.
There is a wide variety of art media including painting, mixed media, glass, digital photography, ceramics, fiber art and jewelry available for purchase.
Artist studios are located throughout the Town of Fountain Hills.
