Moved by the devastation of the recent fires on the island of Maui, Hawaii, the Elks Lodge #2846 in Fountain Hills raised $1,600 to donate to the recovery effort on the island, specifically the Livingway Church in Maui.
Lodge members Greg Thomas, Catherine Thomas and Patti Murphy have all been residents on the island at different periods in their lives and found it important to support the island’s ongoing recovery efforts.
“Caring and sharing is always a part of Elkdom and their stories resulted in the Lodge making this a priority this fall,” a press release read.
