General Election information for Fountain Hills and neighboring communities

The General Election date for Arizona is Tuesday, Nov. 5, but there are a lot of dates and information to consider for those wanting to participate in voting.

The last day to register to vote in the General Election is Monday, Oct. 7, and ballots will go in the mail for registered voters on the list for early voting Wednesday, Oct. 9. Those voters should be receiving their ballot in the mail by the end of that week or early the next. Ballot drop boxes at various locations will be available as of Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The last day a registered voter may request an early ballot is Friday, Oct. 25, and the last day to get the ballot in the mail to assure delivery to the Elections Department by Election Day is Tuesday, Oct. 29. There will be an early ballot drop box at Town Hall in Fountain Hills beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 9, for those who wish to return their ballot in person. It will be open normal town business hours, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and will be available Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Vote Center locations in Fountain Hills for the General Election are set to be the Fountains United Methodist Church, 15300 Fountain Hills Boulevard. This site will open as of Friday, Oct. 25. (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Saturday, Oct. 26, (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Monday, Oct. 28, through Friday, Nov. 1 (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.), Saturday, Nov. 2 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Monday, Nov. 4 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5 (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 La Montana Drive will be open to cast ballots on Monday, Nov. 4, (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and on Election Day, Nov. 5 (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.). The Cornerstone Family Church, 10215 Saguaro Blvd. will be open for voting Monday, Nov. 4 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5 (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.).

All of the above locations will have ballot drop boxes available during the hours they are open.

At Fort McDowell the voting site at the Fort McDowell Recreation Center, 16402 N. Fort McDowell Road, will be open on Election Day only, Nov. 5, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In the Verde Communities the voting site is at the Rio Verde Community Center, 18816 E. Four Peaks Blvd. and it will be open Monday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Election Day, Nov. 5, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents can check on the status of their registration, and other election information including ballot tracking by visiting beballotready.vote. The town has established a voter information website at fountainhillsaz.gov/821/voterinformation---generalelection-2024.

Voters may also drop off a mail ballot or cast their ballot at any ballot center location in Maricopa County during the election period. The locations are listed at elections.maricopa.gov/voting.
