McMahon: I am a passionate public servant

Posted

Remaining on town council is paramount to me because I want to continue to provide experienced, steadfast leadership and, after listening to the needs of all residents, reasonable solutions that move our town toward its vibrant future.

I am a passionate public servant who supports the MCSO safety contract and brought the FH Fire Department in-house. Our team of MCSO officers and firefighters are the heartbeat of our community, protecting the health and welfare of our residents 24/7, making us one of the safest communities nationwide.

Fiscal responsibility is one of the hallmarks of our town. Within the town budget, we made improvements to our parks and increased recreational services. We renovated the Community Center and have become nationally recognized for our many recreation events and facilities. With the building of our International Dark Sky Discovery Center, we will truly become a top tourist destination.

I voted to contribute millions of dollars to improve and repair our streets. Also, serving on the pedestrian and traffic safety committee, we added eight miles of bike lanes, improved sidewalk connectivity, new hiking trails and two electric charging stations, making us a more environmentally friendly community.

The planned renovations to the downtown area will help to create valuable jobs, new business opportunities, increase sustainability for existing businesses and attract multi-generational families, whose children will benefit from our A+ rated schools.

My experience serving on various boards and committees has provided Fountain Hills with greater visibility and inclusion in county-wide decisions that affect us all.

I am very passionate about continuing to serve on the Town Council and excited to continue building the future of our town and preserving the unique aspects of our community.

For the next four years, I will continue to ensure your vote counts and your voice is heard.
