Fountain Hills: Sheriff’s call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Sept. 26, through Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Thursday, Sept. 26

*A resident of the 15000 block of Cholula Drive reported that an unknown subject posing as law enforcement as part of a fraudulent scheme, defrauded the victim out of approximately $12,000.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that a subject brandished a weapon after a verbal dispute.

Friday, Sept. 27

*Deputies responded to Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards where a private property traffic collision occurred when a driver backed into another vehicle that was driving in the parking lot of a business. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.

*Deputies reported that an individual with a valid warrant turned themself in to MCSO. The warrant was confirmed, and the person was booked into jail.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Kendall Drive where it was reported that a subject assaulted and threatened the victim while armed with a deadly weapon. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into jail for aggravated assault.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Buena Vida Court where a third party reported a domestic violence assault.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a customer of a business made a threat to assault an employee via telephone.

Saturday, Sept. 28

*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Eagle Mountain Parkway for a reported traffic collision that occurred after a wild deer ran into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

*Deputies responded to Hawk Drive and Nightingale Circle for a reported traffic collision when a driver backed into another vehicle while they were both attempting to park along the curb of the roadway. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.

Sunday, Sept. 29

*Deputies responded to a private property traffic collision that occurred after a motorist sideswiped another vehicle in the parking lot of a residential area. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the collision. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard and Arista Lane. A driver was stopped for speeding 65 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. A records check revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. A motorist was stopped for traveling 86 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. A driver was stopped for traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that unknown suspects attempted to shoplift merchandise from a business.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a subject shoplifted items from a business. The subject was trespassed from the business, charges were submitted to the court.

Monday, Sept. 30

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a private property traffic collision was reported when a driver backed into another vehicle that was driving in the parking lot of a business. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Dogwood Lane reported that an unknown subject made an unauthorized purchase on the victim’s credit card account.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject took items from the victim’s purse while shopping at a business.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Arroyo Vista Drive reported that unknown subject/s removed items from the front yard of a residence without permission.

Tuesday, Oct. 1,

*A resident of the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported that an unknown subject stole the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in front of a residence.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. A motorist was stopped for traveling 91 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
