The Valley of The Sun Men’s Golf Group welcomes players of all skill levels who like competition and the prospect of playing on various top-ranked and economical courses. Current member Ray Yusko spoke to The Fountain Hills Times Independent about the enjoyment and important details about the group. “We have a weekly game fee of $10 and play team games and have some weekly closest to pin and long putt markers. This fee also includes a light lunch afterwards,” Yusko said.
The golf group plays from October through May at many pristine golf courses. “All players need to be a member of AGA with an annual fee of $45 to retain an established handicap,” Yusko said. “No weekly commitment, play when you can.” Winners of last week’s 3-man best ball were James Sandow, Charles Long and Donald Hrdlicka. Anyone interested in more info about joining the Valley of the Sun golf group at Painted Mountain Golf Resort in Mesa, Wednesdays at 9 a.m., contact Ray Yusko 216-272-4173.
