Don Bauer, 84, of Fountain Hills passed away on July 1, 2018.
Don was born April 30, 1934 in Wauwatosa, Wis. and lived most of his life in Wisconsin. Don owned Bauer Construction Company for over 40 years.
Don was a sports fan who loved Marquette basketball and was a life-long Packers fan. Don lived much of his retired life in northern Wisconsin and enjoyed fishing and skiing. He also loved living at the beach in Pawley’s Island and in the desert of Fountain Hills.
He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. Don was a wonderful father, husband, and friend and will be greatly missed.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Christine. Don is survived by his best friend and partner, Gloria Meyer; son, Don (Liz); daughters, Liz Thoke (Mike) and Meg Malloy (Brian); sister, Jean Alkire; nine grandchildren, Peter, Greg (Danielle), Joe, Lisa, Loren (Clif), Lyndi, Jordan, Frankie, and Brady.
A Memorial Service was held at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary on Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m.
