Community Church of the Verdes will welcome Michael Ishmael at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18.

Ishmael is with Samaritan’s Purse and will talk about the Disaster Assistance Response Team’s (DART) work with mission funds that Community Church of the Verdes has donated, specifically for the Haiti, Turkey, and Syria earthquakes, Ukraine relief and Israel. All are welcome and no registration is needed.

Immediately following Ishmael’s talk, the church will hold its annual Fall Dinner at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18. Attendance for the dinner does require registration by email to assistant@verdefaith.org.

The church also introduces a four-session course in November and December. The Gift of Empathy course will be presented at 9 a.m. Tuesday mornings on Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Dec. 10, and Dec.17.

All are welcome to attend this free four-session course based upon the book “The Gift of Empathy.” The course is facilitated by the Community Church of the Verdes Education Committee and the Stephen Ministry team. Register by emailing assistant@verdefaith.org.  The book is included with the course.
