Valerie Krugh, member of Fountain Hills Toastmasters Club, brought home a trophy from the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking District Evaluation Speech Contest.
The contest took place Saturday, April 27 at Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale.
There were six competitors in the Evaluation Speech Contest and Krugh took second place.
Krugh has helped the Fountain Hills Toastmasters Club gain recognition at the district competition for the second year in a row, a press release said.
Fountain Hills Toastmasters Club meets at the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. and every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the Fountain Hills Toastmasters, visit fountainhills.toastmastersclubs.org.
