Carry on, Falcons!

Posted

Hope springs eternal every May when thousands of high school and college campuses across the country stage their commencement exercises.

Fountain Hills High School will be no exception to that rule when the performance pad at Fountain Park will host its eighth graduation ceremony on Friday evening, May 24. High school graduation is one of those time-honored “rites of passage” when young adults step off the stage with a diploma in hand and the world at their feet. Most will likely advance to the college level and pursue various levels of higher education, while others might choose to enter the work force or perhaps pursue a military career.

It is a delicate time of life, a time when many will dart out from under the protective wings of mom and dad to pursue their individual dreams and ambitions.

As a community, Fountain Hills has raised many kindergartners through the years and witnessed their high school graduation. Some of those students have returned to the community and are now raising families of their own here. The rest have planted roots elsewhere.

It’s time to congratulate the FHHS Class of 2013 and wish them all continued successes in their lives, no matter where the winds of time will eventually blow them now that they’re leaving the collective Falcon nest.
