An Honor Flight recipient was guest speaker at the October meeting of Four Peaks Women’s Club.
The meeting was held at the Fountain Hills home of Jackie Miles.
Special guest Jim Bruner was introduced by Shirley Serey. Bruner is an Honor Flight recipient who spoke on his life experiences.
For over 50 years, Jim has been active in civic, political and professional leadership roles in the Greater Phoenix area.
Bruner is currently a trustee of the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, a board member at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Scottsdale and founding and current chairman of the board of trustees of Scottsdale Museum of the West. He obtained his law degree and was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
Honor Flights take veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the various memorials dedicated to veterans. Bruner was privileged to take his grandson with him on his flight.
A press release described Bruner an excellent speaker and that club members enjoyed his tales.
