Gohl: Steady leadership and effective governance

Posted

Throughout my 36-year career in the commercial construction industry and over 20 years in senior management, I have collaborated and negotiated with leaders of some of the largest corporations and most prestigious and recognized architecture and engineering firms. I have also volunteered my time to serve on boards and committees of numerous industry and non-profit organizations. I know engaged, effective leadership and governance when I see it.

Fountain Hills is fortunate to have Ginny Dickey as mayor and Peggy McMahon as a councilwoman. Their expert leadership, integrity, dedication to duty and experience cannot be overrated as crucial qualities that have provided our town with the best governance possible. Their steady leadership and thoughtful decision-making, even amid the chaos that joined the town council following the 2022 election, has been critical to our town's stability and reputation.

Fountain Hills is considered one of the safest and most desirable places to live in Arizona. That doesn’t happen by accident. It occurs because of planning, foresight, implementation and positively representing Fountain Hills outside of our town limits on regional boards and in the media; at which these two dynamic leaders excel.

If we want our town to continue to be a great place to live, we need to keep Ginny Dickey as our mayor and Peggy McMahon on the town council. Please vote for both on your early ballot, which should have already arrived, or vote in person on July 30. With their strong, proven leadership, both have earned your vote and mine.
