Hover: The energy of political campaigns and their effect on this county

Posted

Energetics is “the branch of science dealing with the properties of energy and the way in which it is redistributed in physical, chemical or biological processes.”

Firstly, let me be clear about my position. I am a 60-year Republican and 13-year Independent. I voted Republican all through the Bush administrations, until I saw a shift in the energy and direction of the party, from the government of the people to the enrichment of the wealthy elite and the weaking of our Constitution and flagrant violation of law and order.

We may differ on specific policies, but what is the overall energy of the two parties? I invite you to consider our current political campaign strategies within that scientific model. What are the physical effects of the two parties wherein one party projects fear and division, while the other party extends optimism and unity for all.

The chemical and biological effects are substantial. Projecting fear and hatred produces a slow and dripping of adrenaline and cortisol, which is like drinking a cup of poison and waiting for the other person to die. Our country is the “United” States of America, guided by the Constitution and law and order.
