Villawatkins: Watch what they have done

Posted

I encourage all voters to vote for vision and solutions, not division, this November.

Friedel has done nothing but photo ops; he aligned with Toth, who is employed by Turning Point Action, which is a divisive organization; and Skillicorn, who proudly calls himself “the chaos agent.”

Skillicorn also had adjudicated ethics violations and was sanctioned. He called it “weaponization” of sanctions. Instead of owning his self-inflicted violations, Skillicorn sued Mayor Dickey, Councilpersons McMahon, Kalivianakis and Grzybowski at federal court for the “weaponization” of sanctions. He lost. His actions speak for themselves.

Councilperson-elect Earle, in different social media posts, is aligned with Skillicorn. These actions are divisive and do not add value to this town. I would have loved to hear Watts’ input about the 5G topic, as this is his wheelhouse and he sits at P&Z. His voice and analysis were missing during the Sept. 4 council meeting and presentation about 5G.

On the other side, Mayor Dickey, outgoing Grzybowski, Councilperson McMahon and Vice Mayor  Kalivianakis  have continued to move forward with the business of this town. Corey, who was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in previous years and clearly cares about Fountain Hills, has spoken at different council meetings advocating for what makes Fountain Hills move forward.

Kalivianakis has been insultingly attacked and was confronted at an election night watch party. She is name-called and hatefully disdained each time she casts a vote for what is forward looking for this town. This is cruel and this is not who we are.

Vote to stop chaos, insults and hate. Vote to unify for law and order and the code of ethics. Keep Fountain Hills beautiful and kind. For all these reasons, I support Mayor Dickey, Macmahon and Corey.
