Virginia Falk-Bitner of Shoreview, Minn. and Fountain Hills, born April 18, 1924, passed away June 16, 2015, at the age of 91.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Bitner; parents, Albert and Frances Alexander; brother, Edward Alexander; and daughter, Judith Anderson-McFarland.
She is survived by her sister, Dolores Anderson; children, Donna Fredcove (Jim), Pamala Hamlin (Larry), Kristi Watters (Thomas), Bonnie Leddy (Brian), and Brandon Falk (Patricia); step-children Patricia Roskam (Jeff), Robert Bitner (Vicki), Steven Bitner (Deborah) and Jerry Bitner (Leslie); and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a bookkeeper until she retired from the City of New Brighton and moved to Arizona in the early 1990’s. She had a passion for baking and cake decorating.
She was a fun loving, kindhearted woman who loved the Lord and gave freely of herself to help others.
Heaven has gained a beautiful soul and a large void has been left in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She will be missed more than words can express.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, at Henry Holcomb Boom Purcell Funeral Home, 515 Highway 96 West, Shoreview, Minn. 55126. Refreshments will follow service at the funeral home.
